Plan on coming to the February meeting on the 12th. A presentation on the "Islands on the Air" (IOTA) award program will be given by Bob, WB2YQH. Hear about the fastest growing segment of amateur radio today. If you thought DX was fun before, learn all about this side of what makes the bands hum with signals. You will be surprised at how easy this activity is. You don't want to miss this program! And if you simply cannot wait to work your very first IOTA, look for the the club’s very own, K2ZR/4 who is now active on IOTA NA-062. He’ll be there for a few months.

This month, CQ Magazine is featuring one of WNYDXA’s most active members, Bill Klepser Jr., WB2AIV. What a photograph! If you don’t get the magazine via USPS you can buy this collector issue at the news stand. If they are sold out, no worries as Bill intends to carry a copy around for all to see. Bill will be available for cover signings at the Lockport Hamfest on Saturday 1/30/2010. Congrats Bill!
