K2QO/qrp Wins CQWW VHF Hilltopper

The 2009 running of the CQWW VHF contest results are posted and certificates have been mailed. K2QO/qrp entered the Hilltopper category and finished #1 North America. This category allows for qrp operation in any 6 hour contiguous block of time as chosen by the contestant. Will there be a title defense?
Thanks to all club members who stopped by to provide a Q or two. Every contact helps.
Buffalo Lighthouse Crew #1, 2AB, Field Day 2009

The Buffalo Lighthouse Crew, a group that by sheer happenstance, is made up of members from WNYDXA, has taken first place in the 2009 ARRL Field Day in category 2A-Battery. The Crew was also rewarded with being #8 in US/VE. Additionally, the crew was the highest scoring QRP group in the entire event!
